The Citizens Appeal Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat informed that almost 22.4 thousand issues were raised, reflecting the full range of internal economic, political and social problems of the state.

39.7% of claims concerned law enforcement, the rights and freedoms of citizens, 12.5% - social security, 9.4% (2.1 thousand) - activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, 4.8% (1.1 thousand) - housing and utilities, 4.1% - financial, tax and customs policy, 4.1% - (929) labour and wages, 3% - housing policy and health, 2.5% - agriculture and land relations.

The issues of information policy and  media remain topical - 438 proposals, petitions and complaints; issues of family, children, youth, gender equality, physical culture and sport - 407,  local self-government bodies - 399; economic and price , investment, foreign trade, regional policy and building business - 352; activities of associations, religion and interfaith relations – 349; education, innovations and intellectual property - 320; activities of local authorities - 275 applications

1.4 thousand of people with disabilities of I-III categories; 653 thousand of children of war; 362 thousand veterans of labour; 360 thousand of participants of war; 315 people with disabilities-veterans of the World War II; 150 people with disabilities-war veterans; 210 liquidators of Chornobyl aftermath; 144 combatants; 144 families with many children, 150 people affected by the Chornobyl disaster, 36 single mothers, 17 mothers heroines, 4 Heroes of Ukraine addressed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a request for protection and assistance. 

According to the Decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 15 personal receptions of citizens with the first deputies, deputy chairmen of the parliamentary committees and deputy factions (groups) were held from January to March 2013. 370 visitors attended personal receptions; 403 written and 41 oral appeals were submitted.  

According to the data, 133.5 thousand voters addressed people’s deputies of Ukraine and their assistants in the election constituencies.

All proposals, appeals, and complaints received by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were scrutinized and directed to the relevant bodies of the state power, local self-government, prosecuting bodies and court.
